Giving King Kamali some credit.
« on: October 18, 2008, 07:27:01 PM »
For seven years, King want on with these bullshit guarantees that he would improve over his 2001 form.  Of course he never did.

Finally this year he came close to achieving it again.  Who knows, maybe at 36 years old he is still able to get back to peak condition?  I think he shouldn't be written off after his recent decent (for King) showing.  Discuss.

Why should he get credit?  He hasn't done anything meaningful in several years.

True, but he looks good compared to other versions of himself and it's quite possible that he can qualify for the Olympia at the New Zealand pro or some other shit 17th tier show.

See.  ;D
:P

but in all honesty I admire his passion for the sport but I think it is a bit misdirected. He has shown considerable improvement so he deserves props for that. But unfortunately I don't think he has enough potential to do any real damage, the sooner he realises that the better.

What about when he beat Dennis Wolf at the 2006 Montreal show under the tutelage of Jim Magnone?

From a 2001 interview:

http://www.getbig.com/iview/kamali01.htm

Q: So does Craig Titus owe you $500.

A: I did not bet him. I e-mailed him back saying that it is a lot of money; that I do not have that much money to spend at the moment, and I wish you the best of luck, and tell Kelly (Craig's wife) good luck at the Fitness International.

 :-X

What kind of 29 year old considers $500 to be "a lot of money"?  ???
