Looks great for his age, better than Nasser did at 22, but the problem is Shawn Ray barely improved since that age whereas Nasser grew leaps and bounds from 22.

Shawn had almost reached his max, for amount of size he would be able to carry, he did improve, but he was never gonna be a monster like Nasser. Shawn had a very long career, and unlike other young bbers that exploded on to the scene young(Gaspari), did not burn out early.

I never knew he had problems with Flex too?

If they had the Olympia set up in two weight classes, he could have easily been a multiple Mr. O winner of the lesser weight class.

He had the calf implant thing with Flex.

He was a bit of a cry-baby.

He did get shafted, though, 90 was his show, at that tested Mr O, he was the best conditioned onstage. And he got his trophy taken away earlier the same year at the AC (positive for Stanazolol). ""Natural"" Mike Ashley was bumped up to 1st.
