Drew Carey is a prime example...he lost a ton of weight and then his show tanked.  He gained it back, now he's hosting Price is Right...

He said on Stern that he is doing it for a role...Playing the funny side of a super hero...This guy is a fucking riot...Says he smokes weed everyday...Dropped out of high school and did stand up comedy...One funny bastard...

However if he didn't grow up in a jewish community, we never would have heard of him...

Cool!  Stephen Chow's films are great.  It will be interesting to see how he does with a Hollywood film.

i totally agree, apparently Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg (who both wrote Superbad) actually chose Stephen Chow as a director and are writing the film based on Chow's concept.  its really cool to see Chow getting noticed and actually having some pull.
