Hazbin, Zuback is a golf beast. I saw a segment with him on sports science and the power he generates with a golf swing was incredible. I'm pretty sure I read recently he still holds the record for the longest drive. I think it was something like 445 yards!

yeah, about there. but he hits it further up here in the thin air.  Jason squatted 636 in a powerlifting meet and i've seen him bench 350 for a triple. he is an amazing athlete. trains harder than anyone i know.

he also just broke the alltime fastest ball speed in any sport. check youtube  Mythbusters/Zuback. he did it on their show.  just over 200 miles per hour.

I have no doubt about that. From the first time I seen him he looked more like a BBer than someone who could swing a club.

usually some type of bars. they are a lot easier to store and eat on the course than shakes would be.

Two things I've done practically my whole life. My father, who from the early 1940's to the mid 1950's when he turned pro, had ther greatest amateur record of that era also was the first golfer to train with weights. While simultaneously competing in golf, he also lifted in competion in the early 1950's with a clean and jerk of 320 pounds, 510 pound deadlift and 400 squat while only weighing 175. These were pretty good lifts for a competitive golfer. No one really started weight training till decades later in conjunction with golf and I doubt anyone on the tour today could clean and jerk 320 pounds. He was also on the cover of an early version of Joe Weider's Muscle Builder in a physique shot.  He kind of switched to a vegetarian diet and got pretty thin but here's a shot of him at 78 years of age. He had me lifting and playing golf since I was 6 years old. I've competed in bodybuilding and golf tournaments.

I knew I'd get flack for that pic. But my dad is 78 there and eating only vegetables and he was still running marathons back then (he ran over 100). Not too many guys that age can do what he did. But I know this is GetBig so I probably shouldn't have bothered.

He looks AMAZING.

90% of the guys here dieted down would look worse.

I mean Flexintonsteele or whatever his name is, looks alot worse then that.

Props to your dad.

Chemist,

That pic of your dad at 78 is awesome. He sets the bar for fitness at that age, I am sure.

Thanks. When I saw the Golf thread, I just thought it would be interesting to point out that my dad was ahead of his time by lifting weights and playing on the tour way before any other pro golfer tried it. People back then felt it would make you inflexible. He's 87 now, still looks good and has never taken a hormone or anything like that.
