“I think there are a lot of good fights at middleweight for [Anderson Silva] – me being one of them. Anderson is the pound for pound best in the world – an unbelievable fighter. He improves with every fight, shows a different game every time and is a class act. It’d be great for him to leave on a high and think you do have to set out a point when you are going to call it quits…. But that said, I want to get a pop at the guy before he retires….. I don’t want to beat somebody by default to get the belt — I want to beat the best guy out there….. He’s calling it quits too soon. There are a lot of good middleweights out there that he hasn’t fought yet.”

I wish the UFC had some sort of rankings so that when these guys like Cote get a shot, everyone can look at the list of who he actually beat to get the title shot, bisping has'nt really impressed me as of yet either..

I dont dislike him, but Silva will wipe the floor with him. There is nobody in the 185 weight class that can even give him a decent fight. Silva fighting @ 205 will be interesting and someone may actually be able to challenge him.

Seems like a nice enough guy, but he's not in th same universe as Silva. It's his delusions of being anything but a scrub MMA fighter that makes me dislike him. He's also boring as hell to watch, even when he wins. He lost that fight the deaf kid (forget his name off hand) and got the win clearly to home town BS. Seems like a nice guy to have a beer with, but I can see why he annoys people.

The reason not to like Bisping is because he always plays it safe, and goes for the decision. He fights a smart fight which isn't much to whine about probably.

But the problem is that at least the Leben fight and the Hamill fight were gifts.

He would be much better suited in Karate point fighting or some other lame shit.

Right now he's the cash cow for UFC in the UK, there's simply no one better.

But the minute someone else shows up, I think Dana will stop protecting Bisping's lame ass.

He's simply not title material, no matter how many prep fights he gets.

He would be smothered by any of the top cats.

Personally I saw that hammil fight and thought it was decided on the 2nd round.  Hammil won the first and bisping easily won the 3rd... its my opinion the 2nd round could have gone to either.  Just like with the rashad fight, i tend to think bisping won that fight but he ended up losing the decision.  I guess it's all on how you were taught.  I like machida too, he's boring but the fucker knows how to fight.  He's not there to win by KO or anything, but that dude rarely ever looks like he's been in a fight when it's over.  Same thing with bisping, he was taught to win fights.  If he wins every time by decision, well it's still a win.  I'll agree that it's not the most entertaining thing to watch, but i gotta respect what he's able to do.  Look on the other hand, martin kampman.  A guy who's been a sorta UFC gateway guy in that weight division, bisping ran him over like he wasn't even in the same league.  I dunno... i'll agree his style can be boring but i don't think he's been handed anything.  The guy wins fights.
