Peter has always been a very valuable resource, with his knowledge in the industry, and more.  Things occur.  Obviously, this is new to all of us.  More will be known next week on the new roles.

But yes, Peter is taking a new role in the company, one that will give him more time to visit England (not move there), more time to take care of family matters, and still do things for AMI.

Not many people have a rich history of the sport like Peter did.  For those of you who didn't know, I have seen pics of Peter when he was in his 20s and 30s, and he looked great as a bodybuilder.

shit, nobody writes better than him.

Yes, Peter's role has gone from that of group editorial director for FLEX, M&F and M&F Hers to an as yet untitled advisory role. He still gets to influence the creative direction of the magazines without having to deal so much with the day-to-day stuff.

Let me tell you from firsthand experience that Peter handled a LOT of day-to-day stuff. Like, I don't even know how he did it all. He worked 7 days a week, morning til night. Now maybe he can stop and smell the iron once again...

From Shawn Perine, senior editor at Flex Magazine

shit, nobody writes better than him.

Some of his stuff has been really good. His no-holds-barred portrait of Mentzer eg. I think that one is still available on Ironage.us BTW, for those inclined.

But in the last few years, I'd say Perine has been the best writer over at FLEX.

I'd say it was even between Shawn and Greg Merritt.

Good for Allan.  I never really thought to ask about who was getting Flex.

So congratulations to:
Allan Donnelly - NEW Editor-n-Chief of FLEX
Chris Lockwood - NEW Editor-n-Chief of M&F and M&F Hers

Did Chris finish his doctorate or put it on hold? He was studying with Dr Stout at OU.
