Peter has always been a very valuable resource, with his knowledge in the industry, and more.  Things occur.  Obviously, this is new to all of us.  More will be known next week on the new roles.

But yes, Peter is taking a new role in the company, one that will give him more time to visit England (not move there), more time to take care of family matters, and still do things for AMI.

Not many people have a rich history of the sport like Peter did.  For those of you who didn't know, I have seen pics of Peter when he was in his 20s and 30s, and he looked great as a bodybuilder.

Wait a second Ron, does this mean that we can all resume in calling Peter fat or should we still stick to Bob's strict rules of conduct when addressing anyone who could have potentially fired him?

Is this by choice or did Weider Pubs ask him to leave?  They are probably trying to cut costs in this down economy.  Peter's been there for quite a while hasn't he?  His salary must be one of the higher ones at Weider.

Peter has been there for a very long time.

He sent out an email saying that it was time to leave, for various reasons, family matters, maybe some other issues we don't know about.

It could be someone a mixture of both.

People are worried, especially with the stock market going down worldwide, and people buying less, including cars, traveling less (as we can see by the amount of gas less used monthly) and more. But that is for another thread.

Ron,
The new Editor-n-Chief has been in the industry a long time.  He worked for Weider many years ago.  He has written numerous articles on sports nutrition, training and diet... as well as contributed to many text books on sports nutrition.  He is younger and will bring a new perspective to the pubs.  His knowledge of not just the competition side but also the training, diet and supplementation side will make the publications all the better.  His experience is very broad and extensive... he is probably the most diverse to hold this position (although Jeff Everson might be close).

Is this 'moving on' in any way related to the passing of Ben Weider?

Congratulations to Allan Donnelly.

Yes they split up Top spot on the mags.  Did Allan get the Flex portion?

The person I mentioned got the Muscle & Fitness, and Muslce & Fitness Hers portion.

If Peter was forced out, that would be a shame.  He's been a fixture at Weider for a very long time.
