Vic Martinez - legs healing behind schedule?
« on: October 26, 2008, 04:42:59 PM »
Here is a pic of him guest posing this weekend, compared with how he looked at the O just a year ago.

Thighs and calves seem to be very small.  In his column, he said he was almost back to 100% on them, and that was written 2 months ago.

There's just no way to tell until we see some pics when he's lean.  I think he'll be ready at the Arnold.  I think it's difficult to note a fall off until the guy gets into shape.

He's not going to have the same size if he is training lighter, that's for sure.  We just don't know that much about where he's at in his training.

He'll be top 3 at the Arnold, no doubt.

But his calves weer always the weakest area.  If he isn't able to train them 100%, it won't matter what the thighs look like.  His left calf stood out as 'woah' in the pic above.  Also his quad tie-in... yikes... did he lose an inch of quad right above the knee?

I'm not hating on the guy, he's one of the best in the world.  But if he has a jacked up quad or an untrained calf, the judges aren't going to shit on a perfect Wolf, Dex, or Heath.

Bro, you can't tell shit from that fuzzy, blurred pic of Victor in his offseason.  Let's wait till he gets on the Arnold stage or at least see some pics when he is leaning out and the picture is clear resolution.  I don't see anything in those pics that would leave me alarmed.  He'll be ready to rock in March of '09.

His career is over...

You need to inform him of this - it appears as if he is still training and holds decent size.  From what I understand, he did pretty well in his last contest and still has contracts with MD and MHP.  He's also doing guest posings like crazy...probably pulling a few paychecks from it.

I guess he just doesn't know any better, Busted?

Quads are definately down, but not ala Stubbs yet. He's got a few months after the Arnold to build his lowerbody back up.

Calves are a joke. Look like oil filled balloons. ::)

At least Wolf hasn't gone the synthol route (not yet anyway)... :-\
No doubt about it...

u know vics upper body has grown bigtime over the years, but when he won national and noc his legs were very good and in the nationals they were a ahead of his upper body a bit but he was in sick shape when he turned pro,now his legs have progressed down over the yrs and then he injured them,so he will probably have to cruise with less than stellar quads.

His quads at the 2000 Nationals were quite good.

That article would have been a good place to showcase his rebuilt quads (if they are really back to 100%).

However, Vic has shown in earlier guest posings that his legs are just fine.  Let's not get bent over one set of less-than-clear pics.
