Nasser gathered a loyal following of die-hard fans in those heady days of competition.  Still to this day, an overweight and pimply Nasser enjoys the dedication and commitment of many an obsessed follower. Albeit, a deluded and valueless following!

Nasser, it seems, has no trouble influencing a large group of bodybuilding supporters.  However, when it cames to his own, that is other Pros, he is a man in the wilderness.

Yes, the Pros hated Nasser with a passion... still do.  Any form of friendships he did establish were abruptly sabotaged by Nasser himself.  It is evident anecdotally, that Nasser is unable to form bonds/friendships with anyone, let alone other Pros.

Nasser will be remembered for being not only a synthol failure who never won anything of significance, but will also go down in the annuls of bodybuilding infamy as someone who was able to culture meaningful relationships!

Bottom line, no one wants to share their life with a conceited and obnoxious intolerant!  Unless that is, that person has money and fame.  Nasser is vacant in both these areas hence he will die old, fat and friendless.

As for his relationships with fellow competitors, I'm not aware of exactly why many didnt like Nasser or vice versa, except that it does not seem that many pros in general are true friends to each other.  How many pros would you say are true friends to each other?  Just look at people like yourself of beefyheavyweight - you're no different in that you put down fellow pro bb's, only difference is you do it from a fake screen name rather than your real identity.

And outside of bodybuilding Nasser has many loyal friends and girlfriends as well.

I recall Flex Wheeler used to think that he was the greatest thing ever. Then in magazines Nasser started minimizing Flex by saying that Flex had the body mass of an teenager. Nasser made fun of Flex's skinny neck. Flex took it personal of course. But Nasser was competing at 270-280 and Flex was around 225-230 (at the same height)

Nasser at one time was very arrogant, especially when he started to compete, and in his later years, he finally understoof the business and the game, and became friendly to everyone. Nasser is an educated person, understands various dealing, and at one time, was one of the best bodybuilders.

Still, some pros like him, others do not.  That is the nature of business.  Most pros are in various cities around, and they see each other a few times a year. They compete against each other.  I dont remember many pros saying that they didnt like Nasser at all.

Some people just didnt appreciate his comments against them. Nasser has written some very controversial things, and even might of extended the truth to make it look good. Look, everyone says things in fun, but actually making it sound serious like they meant it is a different story.

Nasser is retired, ejoying life, and sometimes comes to the bodybuilding expos to say hello.
