I heard it does work to halt the process as long as you are on it, but after you stop it, it seems to fallout faster, almost making up for the hair that didn't fall out when you were on it. I think you should try durastride or whatever. I am not sure a shaved head would look good on you, your head shape might not be good for it, maybe you could grow a goatee and try it.
