What Muscletime doesn't grasp is that muscular bulk and density are part of the judging criteria as well as symmetry/balance proportion and posing presentation and one competitor will not be placed ahead of another of they meet a certain part of this criteria better than another simply because

So Shawn had better ' symmetry ' than Dorian he was down in muscular bulk , density ( probably tied him on dryness ) balance & proportion takes into account many things such as height , torso length , leg length , upper & lower body balance , relative width , proportion between all the muscles , etc , etc
Shawn Ray may have a clear advantage in PART of the definition of symmetry in regards to a small waist , but his clavicles aren't even that wide relatively speaking as well , he probably equals Yates in terms of being bone dry but that not going to compensate ( and nor should it ) when he's clearly deficient in most of the other aspects of ALL of the criteria
All rounds are physique rounds and according to that IFBB criteria Dorian Yates is the clear winner even with the torn bicep , the judges were right on the money
