I'm on a call that turned to the economy, politics, etc. The individual is well connected. Knows people. While discussing the horrors of a possible Obama win they mention the girlfriend stashed in the Caribbean. supposed "job," for which she seems unqualified anyway, in the Caribbean, of all places. It's unclear how she could possibly do this job at all, never mind from the Caribbean. And she's been there for at least a year. (At least.) This isn't some
Tiny place here, some of these islands have as low as 10,000 population, little escapes us, you can't catch a cold without everyone knowing. Playgrounds of the rich and famous, I could tell stories for days, but few would believe me so I do not bother. Plenty of US politicians have used this region for "liasons" and mostly to hide money, Obama not included. Martinique I pass through at times, actually lived there as a teenager for a stretch and I have heard *nothing* and Obama is so popular here people would talk, and talk fast, we island folk have a hard time shutting up.
