If it was made and planned weeks ago why wait until now to air it?
Is it possible they (Obama's campaign advisors) knew it would be close and wanted something to counter any momentum McCain might gain in the final days?
Here's how I heard an analysis go:
The Obama camp calculated with a slight drop towards the end.
Basically, there's a concern that the swing voters who are leaning Obama will get last minute worries and jump ship.
This 30 minute infomercial was about letting these voters getting to know Obama some more, show him in a way that voting for him becomes something perfectly normal.
We'll see how it played out. But I think the McCain camp made yet another mistake when doing an add - ABOUT Obama's ad.
McCain needs to get away from the image of someone who only talks about - Obama.
McCain needs to become the caretaker.
