Lost all respect for the guy when I read an article he wrote in his magazine where he lifted an entire passage from the book "Shredded" as if it were his own thoughts, without giving credit.  ::)

A lot of Einsteins writing were rip offs of others also...However the Jews have done everything to keep that hidden as much as possible...

I remember the Anabolic Reference Guide.  That was my rude awakening that things in FLEX weren't true.  My friend gave it to me and I read that shit literally 8-9 when I 17-18.  Great book! ;D

This shouldn't be news to anyone, but anyway: take any "guru", trainer, anyone who is anything within the bodybuilding industry and there is usually drug dealing in the past. A bodybuilder owns a gym = started with drug money and/or is a front for money laundering. A bodybuilder owns a supplement store = same thing.

Do you realize how much money EAS and Phillips made in that first Body for Life contest.  MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.  It didn't cost barely $100,000 to put it on.  Great marketing tool.

Bill Philips before he met up with Dr Scott Connely, made a ton of money selling gear.He was "the connection" for all the pro bodybuilders and  pro athletes. The only reason he didnt go to jail is Sergio Olivera, now one of the owners from High-Tech Pharmaceuticals took the fall for him. That is why Sergio was the national sales manager for EAS.Bill Philips is a smart guy but is very very devious.Just ask Jeff, Everson owner of The Magazine Planet Muscle.Jeff, was supposed to be part owner of Met-RX, with Dr Connely, and Bill Philips, but But Bill Philips screwed him.Jeff, is a friend of mine, and what Bill did to him was just "wrong".
The funny thing about Bill Philips, is in the early 1990's he sold ALOT of gear,in Colorado, but then in the late 1990's he was preaching natural bodybuilding, even though he was always on grear.I have friends who lived in Colorado who knew Bill Philips back in the day, and used to buy gear off of him.True story,Back when Bill Phillips was 18-19 years old he took his first shot of test.Well he did it himself, and he did it in the locker room of a gym in Colorado. My friend walked into the bathroom of the gym and he found Bill Philips laying on the ground with a syringe in his ass.My friend said that Bill passed out when giving himself a shot.My friend who I will not name is no bull shitter. He actually sold roids for Bill and still has a Lamborghini Countache  he bought in the late 1980's with some of the money he made by selling roids for Bill.So dont tell me Bill didnt make any money, he was loaded
The Bottom line is Bill Philips is a great marketer, and did alot of the sports nutrition industry. But he is a cut throat business man who is ruthless when it comes to business.Just ask Jeff Everson.I repsect Bill and always will, but I wouldn't do business with him.

I bet John and Jim also remember how when the big writeup of MetRx came out in the Anabolic Reference Guide that "it is only being used for burn victims and severely sick people and it will never be made for public use"

Two issues later....."We have acquired a limited and I mean very limited supply that first come first serve bodybuilders can try out....but again supply it's severely limited and this is going to be a one time offering only to the public"

(this created a fervor like no other)

--------

I am not touching that deca package story from mexico

--------

cyclofenil also got immensely popular around the same time that Goldstar Clen did...hmmmmm

-------

Its weird how he went about it...

Put out i think 27 issues of the Anabolic Reference Guide and the Anabolic Reference Book and grabbed all the hardcore bodybuilders in the country's ears.

Got Duchaine and put out MM2000 and kept hardcore still for 2-3 years and still had all the hardcore bodybuilders ears but a whole new crowd of people who wanted to in the clique (but really werent)

Took that movement and went to a very cleaned up mens health version of it (almost overnight)

Sale:

1999 - North Castle Partners buys EAS for $160 million, with Bill Phillips retaining about a third of the company. It begins adding mass-market products such as Pirhana energy drinks and AdvantEdge nutrition bars to the line. While Phillips limited the distribution of EAS products to gyms and health-food stores, new CEO David Lumley sells the line to discount retail chains and convenience stores and uses supermodel Cindy Crawford and Denver Bronco Shannon Sharpe in company ads. Sales climb to $251 million by 2001.

January 2003 - EAS stops selling products that contain ephedra, an herbal stimulant that some experts link to heart attacks and strokes, several months before the FDA bans the substance.

July 2003 - EAS ousts Lumley. Management says they fear he has steered too far away from EAS' traditional customer base of athletes and bodybuilders. He is replaced by chief operating officer Monty Sharma.

2004 - North Castle Partners buys Bill Phillips' portion of the company.

*****(im going to guess this was for 80-120 million as the worth of the company increased over time--so im going to speculate that he made 280 million total from its sale)

No. He was real skinny but fatish and got bigger and leaner.

He was an old athlete. 3x Irish light-flyweight boxing champ. Ill post pics

I remember you posting those pics, he gained like 35 pounds of muscle while dropping 35 pounds of fat in something like 60 days while in a calorie defecit and you were claiming he wasnt using , ROFL.

No he gained maybe 14lbs total

But in a much lower b/f. the pics show better that he made great gains naturally.

Hate all you like. He was doing weight training, padwork and skipping for cardio and working as a labourer. Done great so dont be jealous mate

Sure do and I also remember that it came in two seperate containers at that time. Something about it not being stable for too long after it was mixed. Anyone remember AST research? I think their headquarters were right acrossed the street from Bill.
