he was famous for high volume, fast paced workouts and was trained by vince gironda.

Yeah Fantastic little BB Makkawy was, if memory serves right he beat Lee Haney on a few occasions in 1982-83 witch was more than likely Makkawy's prime years, he looked fantastic @ the 1983 O.

yeah he beat haney 5 times in 83 if i remember correctly...

Did Vince always wear a lifting belt? Was it habitual for Makkawy to walk around in posing briefs on his way to gym?

I love those old 1980's studio shots! Especially with the clouds of smoke around the feet.

Mo was an earlier version of Shawn Ray in posing ability and conditioning, though both had different physiques.

He's one of the most healthy looking, sympathic, charismatic and best posing bodybuilders I've ever seen. Vince allway told he was natural. Can somebody confirm this? How is Mohammed doing these days?
