A 625 raw bench is VERY difference thing than a 625lb lift with a bench shirt.  If Tech wins the next three games they will be playing in the National title game; Lubbock will be going crazy

even high school football players lift some impressive weight.

one of my friends played high school football, plays jc now, and i remember when we were sophmores i saw him do 5 plates per side squats all the way to parallell for a set.. i think it was like 6 -8 reps.. dont recall exacttly.  another guy i remember benchpressed 4 plates per side 3 times..      of course these guys were taking dbol... (all the football players at my school took dbol).. but still fucking impressive weight

Yes he did have it to long.  I also saw he has guys on the end making sure it didn't drop.  Once the weight stopped going up they should grab it.  But, it was a pretty hold for him.  No matter what at that height that is awesome.  But, it is also good to do that to help strengthen the tendons and joints.  I always did heavy negatives to help strengthen them.  I think that is why I have never had any joint of tendon problems and I have only lifted heavy since I was 16.
