Unlike you, I won't get bent out of shape by a comment like that. Boo hoo, big teeth.
My claim must have hit close to home. Could it be true? Seems that way. Tell you what, round up all the black people in this country and prove me wrong. Never mind, you'd probably have to give them a handout just to congregate in the same spot.
What's this trying to fit in bullshit? My statement had nothing to do with that and everything to do with the multitude of black people I've seen on TV in the last few weeks talking about how their lives will be better, how things will change, etc, etc when in the end, they'll be back to their normal ways by June (and that's being generous). Listening to radio hosts talking about how they broke down in tears when Powell endorsed Obama. Please. Love the blatant racism that gets a pass.
People seeing social change is an emotional thing. A few black people crying on TV is nothing compared to the many people privately upset at the outcome.
Of course you're not going to see a chicken in every pot, LOL! That would be stupid, especially considering how few people make enough money to really care.
Better life? I sort of doubt it, but it's too soon to tell. Best thing that would happen for blacks is to not see race as a limiting factor. For whites it would probably be good for a few of them to stop thinking race is a permanent advantage.

IMO, the black community's issues can't be solved by govt intervention.
Ultimately we're all in the same boat, BF. Remember... Just about everyone on the Titanic died and it didn't matter how nice of a cabin they were riding in when the iceberg attacked.
