I remember the guys on "The Man Show" giving Andre a "Most Manly" type of award and beginning it with, "Our Most Manly Man ironically comes from the least manly of all countries...France"

I'm sure that Andre would have gotten killed in MMA because he has "no ground skills"  or so seems to be the conventional wisdom among "cage fighters"

I actually got to see Andre face to face in 1987 at the Capital Center...I wanted to shake his hand but didn't get a chance.

My dad is a retired wrestler he knew Andre well.

There is a debate going on at celebheights.com as to the TRUE height of Andre The Giant. He was no more than 7'0". Some say 6'11.5". How tall was your dad in that picture? That will give us a good idea of Andre's TRUE height. thanks.

i don't know if it has been brought up yet but Andre was considered (next to Haku) as the toughest, legit guy in the business
