My thoughts are that to fight for a belt, you must have fought your way to that spot. But looking at the division, and his defeat of Herring, there really isn't anyone for him to have an interesting fight with. Lesnar has made a good name for himself throughout his lifetime. He earned that. Let's face it, he is great for the sport. All things considered, he may not deserve a title shot, but he has earned it in a way. He is a big name, he has done his time. When you can sell major PPV's, and bring major revenue to your sport/UFC , I think most of the fellow fighters understand. The more popular you are, the better treatment you get. After all, people are paying to be entertained.
