hey Chic...Do you remember Bob Gruskin?

Good ole Bob. Maker of stars. He found many of us and made us into stars. But we had to compete in the AAU and NABBA only. Did Bob ever try to pull you into his muscle stall? Like he did with Jeff King and many other New York and Jersey men. Any stories for us. I know you have em!

didn't ya question his credibility once?

I remember him delivering a record showing Jack London winning his class at a show, and you questioned its autheinticity, right?  Then pics came, and 1 or 2 of the other competitors came fwd, and ya still hated it?

Trust me, the name Gruskin and credibility have seldom been used in the same sentence.

Bob was a photographer and writer for many of the bodybuilding mags back in the 70s, 80s, and even into the 90s.  He's had bylines on hundreds of articles.   He's currently the chairman of NABBA USA.  Lives in the Bronx, was a community college teacher until back problems sidelined him.

Gruskin was/is a well known Gay bodybuilding writer/photographer (i heard stories about Gruskin from Victor Terra,Manny Ataide,tried to "help" struggling bodybuilders out kinna like EC in Venice)
Marty Vranicar knows him but didn't have any good stories/gossip to tell (at leasts that's what he said)
