I love how so many people on a bodybuilding board call steroids 'the easy way out'.
One of the earliest influences many will cite is superheros from comics.
And there isnt a single truly natural physique that has that illusion of the superhero.
Simply put, the image many chase CANNOT be achieved without proper supplementation.

So true.  Even people who should know better are in denial about how widely PED are used.  Remember that thread on Daniel Craig from a few weeks ago?  When I said he was obviously on a cycle for Casino Royal (recall the scene when he’s coming out of the ocean) several dimwits here (The Wizard, ricosauve, DonkeyKong, johnnynoname, OneMoreRep, etc.) insisted he was natural.

Tbombz gave them a clue…

And MuscleMcMannus sealed the deal…

Even dimwits can be educated...  :D

Did anyone notice how the actor who played James Bond looked after the movie?  His neck alone looked 2 inches skinnier. Let's face the facts; steroids work.  Anyone who has tried a cycle for 6 weeks will attest to the fantastic improvement they have made on the juice.  Most if honest will admit that off the juice for three months all the gains go away.  I have been in this game long enough to see zeros going to heroes and back again to zeros.  You can build a really good physique without juice.  It's sad but telling that most won't admit to steroid use because they want all the credit for their temporary steroid build.  A physique they couldn't have without the syringe.  Have you ever noticed that all the juicers act like they are very knowledgeable about training but once off the juice due to health, finance, or legal problems they have nothing to say because they look like crap.

I don't get it. Anyone with as much muscle as this guy would be declared on getbig as "all drugs". Just so you know, this pic is from 1900.

If someone could look like this 108 years ago, why do so many people think that today we can't (also naturally) achieve even more muscle than him?

100% true!

i know for a fact orals are around but not all the guys lifting have access to them, trust me i know,i used to work in the visiting hall food area and would stick baloons filled with anadrol in my ass that were passed off to me by inmates visiters to bring back to the pod,my buddy had legit 20 inch arms and never touched a steroid in the joint, his legs were like chickens though cause he never squatted

Simply because all kids nowadays want to train a few minutes a day, a muscular group a week and believe they'll become like bodybuilders with a minimum of efforts.
The only way to build muscle naturally  is at least 2-5 hours a day, each muscular group 2 times a week. Like we were doing before 80's
There is no miracle. The less you train, the less you progress...

I agree with most of this.

2-5 hours a day is for pussies!  A minimum of 6 hours 5 days a week is required.  Otherwise you have to be juicing.

I really hope you guys are kidding about this 2 to 5 hrs a day, 6 days a week.  If you're not then you must be out of your mind.  The only thing you can accomplish by training 2 to 5 hrs a day, 6 days a week (naturally) is to be seriously overtrained.  I've been training since I was 9yrs old (no joke) and what I've found over the years and what the literature on the subject is telling us is that putting in that many hours of training in the gym only hinders your progress and it's not needed.  As I've gotten older I've realized that if I go in the gym and stay focused and on task I can get in and get out within an hour and accomplish all I needed to.  I train one body part a day for 5 days and then take one, sometimes two days off depending on how I feel.  Natural bodybuilders can't train as hard and as long as "chemically enhanced" bodybuilders due to the difference in recovery time.  One of the main problems with young motivated bodybuilders or should I say wannabe bodybuilders is that they are so motivated and want to get big so bad that they are seriously overtraining.  I really hope you guys were being sarcastic and I've waisted my time typing all of this.  I'd feel a lot better.  You might have some young inexperienced person read this and go spend all day in the gym trying to be like Ronnie, only to overtrain and waist a lot of time and effort.

Steroids were created for a reason. They work. Anyone who believes otherwise needs to do their homework and learn more about the subject (like the general public). There is a huge difference between steroid use and steroid abuse.

I find that the morons who cry the blues about AAS and critisize everyone who is bigger/stronger or looks better then them are usually the same morons who can't train and are very jealous of others progress. These guys don't have the genetics for bbdg nor do they have the strength to push. How many times have you seen guys on 500-1000mgs of test alone yet they didn't gain a poundor the look lousy??

Yes.  And if you post a pic, it is mandatory to state that it's at least 6 months old and you have "put on 50lbs of lean mass since then..., all natural."

Although your right, working out hours upon hours a day will over train you but will also build some serious dense muscle...During the Romain Empire, the gladiators were known to train most of the day...And were seen as muscle freaks to the norm/people...

just go visit someone in prison and youll see dudes lookin like top national bodybuilders walking around, maybe afew have no legs  but they have some muscled upper bodies, and they aint doin roids.great genetics combined with hard work will get some people far in bodybuilding, and then there are guys like me who do everything perfect(eat, sleep and train right) plus afew cycles and dont look nothing like them.once you accept it youll be alot better off in your bodybuilding quest,it used to bother me awhile back but i just accepted it and am doin the best with what god gave me
yeah because drugs are so uncommon in prisons

Yeah, you may be right about that but even if you curl a 40oz of Old English long enough its gonna have some effect on your muscles.  The key for all of us, I think, is finding out the optimal means of building the best physique possible.  I truly believe that in this case less is best.  You can still build muscle by overtraining but you can build more muscle by optimal training.  (this applies to users and non-users)

Amount of time training optimally varies greatly from person to person. Genetics, quality of diet, quality of sleep/ rest are very important determining factors on whether one is overtraining or not...not just amount of time spent in the gym. 4-5 hours total time training per day is not that big of a stretch, if your including cardio or precontest regimine..along the other odds and ends, abs, calves etc. Ive been weight training each bodypart 1.5-2.5 hours per day, 5-6 days per week, going on 10 years now with great results, (as a natural) not counting 20-30 min day for cardio. I avoid overtraining by getting as much quaility rest & food as possible. I cant imagine leaving the gym after 45 minutes or so, when Im just getting warmed up! But thats just me...

That's great. Looks like you've found what works for you.  I've been hitting one body part a day, 3 to 4 exercise per body part, with 4 or less sets per exercise. (except flat bench because I just like that exercise)  I've found that I've been able to maintain my physique with no problems.  Not to mention it works perfect with my schedule.  Long hours at work and two sons kind of stretches me thin.  Right now I'm 5'9, 218 and can fluctuate anywhere between 215 and 225 depending on how I'm eating.  Right now my training routine works perfect for my goals.  Good to hear what works for you.  "Damn, not counting the cardio."?
