terminal cancer.

I was on the phone with a friend the other night and he told me this ghastly story about a friend of his. They have been married for almost 9 years and the husband had developed pancreatic cancer and has been fighting it for months; turns out the wife had been having an affair for almost 2 years and now that he is weak and infirm she dumped him for another guy, apparently in the form of some brief message she left at the hospital. Looks like another woman pulled the wool over a man's eyes... :-\

No doubt. It is one of the most well documented opinions in the history of Getbig.

I'd do the same if i was a woman...

in fact, if i was dying in bed and my wife was still young fresh beautiful babe - i'd insist she leaves for another man:

if your life is finished, why ruin precious years of the life of a woman you love? thats just selfish..

My understanding was that he was still fighting it. Still if it happened to me, I would beat the disease for the sake of vengeance...

Wouldn't need it, in vengeance is the spark of the divine; ever read the OT, how often Old Yaweh the Angry One speaks of vengeance....

That was never my argument Sir Tony. My argument was always along the lines that the doctrines of religion are simply not true...

whether you believe them to be true or not doesnt matter, what matters is whether the ppl who believe in them deem them to be true. Why is somebody elses beliefs of such importance to you?

Why is somebody elses beliefs of such importance to you?

because it directly influences the nature of my interaction w/ them...beliefs do effect the way people treat others to a very significant level...

Someone bailing in a situation like that has everything to do with character and nothing to do with sex.

They are independent.

Gender dose affect how we see the world but right and wrong don't change.

The guy was a goner and what she did was wrong but maybe things were over for a while or the guy was an ass.

Agreed however the vast vast majority of ppl you deal with on a day to day basis are religious and you probably dont even know it. Religion tends to help ppl for the better not for the worse as well and if it werent religion that formed their beliefs it would be something else.
