Bluto's top-5 hw's ranked by activity!
« on: November 20, 2008, 03:28:40 PM »
Fight hard, fight often! Let's take a look at how often the hw's fought in the last few years.

This is the top-5 heavyweight list over those who fought and not just sat around doing nothing like a bunch of lazy bums:

#1 Josh "The Babyface Assassin" Barnett  - fought 7 times in 2006 - josh set a new standard back in 2006! he also fought 3 times in 2008!
#2 Alistair "Demolition Man" Overeem - fought 4 times in 2008, 4 times in 2007 - bravo alistair! four times a year thats how you do it!
#3 Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira  - fought 5 times in 2006 - 5 times in a year is pretty impressive!
#4 Tim Sylvia - Fought 4 times in 2006 - say what you want about sylvia, but 4 times in a year is solid
#5 Andrei "Pitbull" Arlovski  - fought 3 times in 2008 - not bad! and an early fight awaiting in january 2009.

just outta the top-5:

Brock Lesnar - new to mma, but 3 fights in record time isn't bad!

Neither Randy or Fedor makes it on that list, they just dont fight often enough, they should stop talking and get into the ring/octagon and fight.

Fedor fought once all 2008, twice 2007, twice 2006 - it's pathetic! Randy fought once 2008, twice 2007, once 2006 he's old but whats Fedors excuse?

I agree. And not to mention Randy was held up with legal issues. Everyone needs to realize, Fedor may be good, but do we really know how good he is? Time to fight real competition and prove it.

Fedor just lost in Sambo maybe that's telling him something... you cant live on old merits

besides a real warrior shouldnt he want to fight often?

From my top-5 list Fedor only fought 2 of them!

Sorry to stir up old stuff, but this is an example of why you shouldn't be a mod on this board.

LMAO @ this list- Fedor absolutely manhandled 3 of those 5, and he even beat two of them twice! Its kind of hard to book fights against more opponents when nobody in your division can hang with you for more than half a minute and youve already beaten everyones ass. The only dude in MMA that would even make an interesting fight against Fedor is Brock and thats just because of the fact he is new to the sport and was WWE champ. As far as the actual fight goes, it wouldnt go past round one even if Fedor had his hands cut off.

it aint hard, plenty of people who wanna fight fedor, just throw in a big purse! and he hasnt beaten everyones ass. plus fedor aint nothing to be afraid of, every time he fight someone good it goes to decision - he cant finish them.
im looking forward to arlovski vs fedor and hopefully fedor will fight josh barnett in the future who knows what goes on with fedor now after his devastating loss in sambo this past weekend!

Your looking to far into his Sambo loss, I think this is you just stirring up shit.. Secondly it is not a matter of how much you fight when you loose 3 out of your last 4 fights. <--(Tim Sylvia)

The other thing is that your list has huge holes in it. The first two you have down don't even have belts. You can't possibly not have a champ on your top two. Obviously that is part of being the champ, you don't have to fight nearly as often. Hell why don't you add Chuck Liddell to your list of HW top 5, that might make this list a little more believable.

why isn't Barnett in UFC?  Love watching him fight..

He was back in 2002 and be heat randy couture... then he got caught for use of steroids and couldnt fight in the us so he went to Japan. He lives in California now so I rather see him in the UFC than fighting for affliction... his next fight is Roy Nelson who Arlovski knocked out recently
