ghb
« on: November 21, 2008, 05:39:37 AM »
hi fellas, i'm in the u.k and it's possible to get hold of a supply of gbl, precursor to ghb here (essentially, your body converts it to ghb upon ingestion). i'm thinking a dose of 0.5 - 1ml just before bed is the accepted protocol for gh release. am i on the right track?? is there a hard and fast rule, or is it a case of whatever does it for you?
thanx for any help...
chris

It all depends on how potent the GBL is.

I would try the lesser of the two and see what it feels like.

You don't want to overdose on GHB, some people have gone to sleep permanently.

You're better off getting sodium hydroxide (naoh) and making the GHB yourself instead of letting your body convert the precursor, I don't think drinking straight GBL is a good idea, I've done it a few times and wasn't crazy about it, also made my stomach feel funky. When you make the GHB make sure you get a ph strip and get the proper ph down with lime juice or vinegar.

I never used it but have one connection for it.

Too expensive, IMO.

I used it a lot in the past and never found it mentally addictive.  But, it's physically addictive.  After using it consistantly for a while I got to the point where I could not sleep without it....not even close.

If you use it wisely as intended it is one of my favorite drugs of all time.  You can take a hard nap for a few hours and wake up with no hangover and feel like you slept for 8 hours.

GHB is underrated in terms of abuse.

Many people fall susceptible to its effects and it is highly addictive.

I'm not sure you need to start back again, abc.

I was a very heavy user of ghb. it took a long time to get back to normal after stopping using it.

if you dose it right it provides a perfect state of euphoria and sense of well being. *thee* best anti anxiety drug I've ever used.

highly fucking addictive.

Indeed.

That's why I'm not sure I'd recommend anyone start back on the GHB train.

I agree that you do need to be VERY careful.  When I was younger, I used it for Rec purposes while on Spring Break, etc.  It certainly beats alcohol while on cycle or any time for that matter.  But, I learned my lesson with "G" physical dependency and don't plan to do that again.  Not being able to sleep normally sucks.

Plus, these days, I don't really care to walk around 'high.'  It would not go over well at work.  ;D  And, I just could not take the chance of "G" ing out at work or anywhere for that matter...

Basically, what I'm saying is that these days I would only use it for it's intended purpose = sleep.  And, only in a safe environment.  A few days worth would be cool and relatively harmless...it's been a long time.

Someone with as much to lose as you do could benefit from restraint.

Not sure if your wife or kids would ever get over it if they discovered a hidden bottle of GHB under your sink.   :-X

appreciate the responses guys. obviously i'm well aware of any dangers, i'll start at the bare minimum dose and see how i get on. it's purely for sleep/gh release, i've no intention of using it to find a high...
cheers

Very good point and one that I should think about more often...
