What can you add to rice to make it taste better?

On white rice I prefer plain old soy sauce.
I’ve tried the low sodium ones, but just end up using more to get the same taste.

Brown rice gets either soy or butter and salt.
Gives it a bit of a buttered popcorn flavor.
