Derek has become somewhat of an icon within the sport. 

Yes, thanks to this thing they call the internet, Derek now enjoys quite a large fan base.

Derek has many detractors also.  I think that is part of the appeal.  Many stand divided on the issue of all things Derek.

There is 'good Derek' and there is 'bad Derek'.  Without these polarities, the entity that is Derek Anthony would not be anywhere near as powerful.

Bottom line, Derek has always told the truth.  He has been more than candid about his drug abuse; both recreational and bodybuilding orientated.  He does not shy away from anything.


And yes, still to this day not one Getbigger has dared speaking smack to his face and gotten away with it!

Derek is constantly trying to improve himself. He is a beacon in the sport.   The guys isn't even a Pro yet is more recognisable than the current Mr. O...... and makes about twice as much money too.

Look, i am not hating on the current crop of roided Pros...far from it.  However, it is quite bemusing that Derek is more popular than any of these neeedle pushing illiterates.

Derek does NOT tell the truth.  He might think he does but because of his lack of knowledge he's not telling the truth.  Telling everyone he walks around at 4% bodyfat year round is either a lie or he's just plain ignorant. 

I read his topic a couple times, and it's full of mis-information from diet information, to comical things, to basically you name it. 

I don't think people hate Derek.  I don't hate him.  I think he's funny, and ignorant.  That's not hating.

What I do dislike about him, is that he has the ability to give out false information to those newby's that are trying to learn.  They are reading his BS information and getting the wrong information. 

There is a difference in people hating someone and laughing at them.
