Ill sumarize................ ....Howie went to the nationals and forgot to bring his camera
;D ;D ;D
I had my I-phone camera and got some nice shots.
I enjoyed the show and came away with a really positive feeling about bodybuilding.
I felt like blogging about it , and know only a few % will read it over on MD, but also know I need to keep it short on this board.
You are pretty cool Mike, and walked the walk as a bodybuilder, plus you have a smokin' hot wife :D.
It is my impression that the most negative folks on the boards are the ones that never go to a contest.
Granted I get cracked on by plenty here at GET BIG, ironic how they rarely debate the content of my posts.

Everytime I see Ron A at a contest we crack up over the nature of some of the posts here at Get Big.
I have a really laid back sense of humor, love BB and never give most of this crap a 2nd thought
I always kid my physics students and tell them they ought to get credit for just being locked in a classroom with me as their teacher and have to hear me ramble on about physics for 90 min  :P

Look benz, if it really bugs you contact NPC Ga chair Ty Felder care of his address on the Ga NPC site or contact the national NPC in Pittsburg or come and meet me at a show, etc.
If that is not to your liking....oh well.
BTW, when was the last time you even went to a BB contest? Just curious, no biggy

i will answer ALL of your questions as soon as you answer mine, which is only one: Where is your certificate that prove you are a real+legit npc judge?

No need to mention names of g4p guys, just answer if theres any certificate or not.

Mike, Howard .... Thanks for the above posts. Although I may not agree with everything you posted, I got to admit that it's good reading posts from guys who know what they hell they are talking about.

Good judgement on Chick too, Howard. In all the years I've know Bob, he's always been a class act. And now he's a great dad too!

And for you who might be doubting Howard, he definitely is a certified NPC Judge.

Take that from me - the guy who knows all and never lies when it comes to truthfulness - Or something like that.

Benz by asking for a  "judges certificate" proves you know nothing about how you become a judge in the NPC.
Just so you will know here is how it actually works:
1. You take written test given by your state NPC chairmen.
2. You then have to test judge and get an 85% score for 3 contests as an UNofficial judge.
3. Each yr you get an NPC card ( opt for the reg BB member card or a slightly less expensive NPC officials card).
4. You are placed on the certified judges list with the office of your state NPC chairman.Based on your experience ( yrs as an active judge) you get rated C, B or A. I have an "A level" judging rating in the Ga NPC district.
I judge the Atlanta and Ga state meets each yr for NPC ga state promoter Ken Doc Neely.
Our head judge is Doug Jerry  and I have served on panels with well known bodybuilders such as masters nationals champ, IFBB pro George Thurmond .
5. The promoter and state chair pick the panel for various meets in your geographic region based on seniority and availibility , etc. I have been invited to judge in various meets outside of my state as some promoters want to remove any chance of a "hometown" judging bias.
6. National judges have to test judge at the national level as well and then are put on the national NPC judges list.

Now if you think we all get bribes, and know a different selection process for NPC judges please inform me. Oh please  give us all some names , places and contest dates where judges were bribed.
Who bribed the judges , what is the name(s) of the judges, what was the amount of $$, etc.

Thanks and I agree, Bob Chic is a class act and great example of what BB should be about.
Mike A is hardcore BB and like me has a sense of humor here on the boards.
I sure as hell don't know everything, but on Bb I know a lil' something and love the sport.

I swear to GOD I laughing my ass off over this pic of an NPC card request.
I am not sure but this has got to be off the wall attempt at humor on your part.
Maybe you can contact all the national judges and BB's that were at the show last night and they can scan their NPC cards for ya as well  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D.

Benz, you have wierd sense of humor, but I think your digs are kinda funny in an odd , off the wall kinda way.
Take care. see ya around, and do you ever go to any shows? I was just curious, nothing more?

So, theres no way to prove you are a valid judge unless i call ty. Is (770) 452-8582 still a valid number? Do you think he will be bothered if i call him at 1 am to ask him if you are a judge?

And yes, i go to shows, why howard?

Judging by your pic you must be the head TROLL. Go back to the nutrition board and promote whatever you promote.

Howard,

Thanks for your observations and opinions.  Some of us aren't blessed enough to be able to attend these shows and really appreciate you taking your time to write down what you saw and your opinion.  Then again you have some of us that just want to sit back at home typing on their computers all night and trying to give everyone else a hard time.  I, for one, am a true fan of the sport and I appreciate the info.  Thanks again.

I don't go to as many shows as I would like due to time, $$$, etc.
I spent many past years just getting by and didn't have the bit of extra $$ I now enjoy.
I am no rich man, trust me, but thanks to many years experience and a couple grad degrees, my teaching salary has risen over the last 20 yrs.Plus, I am not raising any kids and only have my wife and 2 dogs.
The get big board is a fun blog/forum and I enjoy it.

Damn, I nodded off 3 times in the first paragraph.  Could someone summarize?

Now you know how my physics students feel, after listening to me for 90 min.

Summary: Howie went to the nationals, saw the show and talked to some fellow musclehedz.
He saw Ron and Issac and they tried to avoid him but he was too obnoxious so they paid Bob Chic to talk to him. Bob was  with his wife and kid anyway and kinda bored, he was ok with baby sitting Howie for a bit.

Everyone wants kids. Some are not blessed to have them. Howie seems like a good guy who enjoys bodybuilding, I don't understand the bashing of him in this thread. Or perhaps I am just mellow because of the drugs I am on  :D
Howie, you are a big dude and I remember you from the pulp mags of the 70's and 80's. You had a fine physique at one time did you not?

Jimmy

no doubt he was once all the way big dude, but now he's all the way big homo :(

Hows your disease jt?
