we tall people dominate in fighting, there is a reason why they have the "reach" of the fighter shown in every fight  ;D

MemberX is a lanky bastard who probably has difficulty standing in 60 mph storm winds. How will he handle handle right hooks from a manic Canadian wild man like Avesher?

each of the fighters should also put up $1000 of their own money, so that if one backs out (AXA), he forfits his money to the guy who shows up. if they do both fight, they get their money back...

this will negate the possiblity of any bullshit on ASsholeJerkoff's part.

I'll come out and say something here--I offered to split any moneys with him.  He flat turned me down and said he wants to go through with this.  It seriously appears he will show up.   He doesnt wanna split anything and appears confident he will finish me off.  No lie.  Should be interesting.

this kid is so dead...

i read the thread from start to finish just now for the first time, and what struck me is the fact ASsholeJerkoff adds in more and more stipulations all the time.

he's going to back out- why wouldn't he- his honour means nothing to him. he already welched on one bet, think he cares if he gets abuse for backing out?

it'll just be another excuse for him to turn around in feb and say 'i own your minds'.

can't believe you guys actually think he'll go thru with this.

i believe this is 100% correct. he is scared of lifting weights, and the weights don't even hit back. what do you all really think he will do when faced with avesher  ::)

I know for a fact he wants 3 months so he can train some sort of martial arts and hit the weights---me, I'm just gonna hit the burger king and go in swinging---if I miss the first few shots heart failure may be imminent

:oTo be honest, in a fight with Avesher, MemberX would have such an advantage it may be ethically wrong for him to fight Avesher.

Avesher's a good guy and all, and he seems to have a light-hearted nature that makes him very likeable, but anyone that knows anything about fighting can tell right here and now that AXA is likely to beat the shit out of him. Avesher, you're bigger than he is, but his height and build are enormous advantages in fighting. He's likely quick as well and may be familiar with the movements since he's stated kickboxing is an interest of his.

AXA's actually got a fairly ideal build for fighting. He wouldn't want to be bigger, especially if he's utilizing his legs. I recall when Bruce Lee switched to training HIT. He switched back to more volume shortly after. When asked why, Bruce said HIT was making him too big! He said the excess muscle size HIT was causing wasn't practical and he wanted to stay smaller than that. The point is, being bigger doesn't mean being better in a fight. In fact, it's often the opposite; a disadvantage. Usually the only reason fighters attain size is because it's an undesirable side effect of their practical training.

I like Avesher, but I don't think he knows what he's getting into. The fact that you're bigger may mean the opposite of what you currently think it means. This is not a contest of size, far from it.

don't worry about avesher's cardiovascular shape, it's not gonna be an issue if you know what I mean  ;D
