Bad thanksgiving games is the NFL's fault
« on: November 27, 2008, 12:26:34 PM »
-The lions have been bad for decades, if they have to be on, schedule them against a team that's clearly not very good.

-Putting the seahawks against the boys is weak, seahawks are never compelling and are worse this year. Hopefully the fact that it's a national game during their coach's last season will be enough to motivate them to a better game today!

i know they cant predict the future, but thank you nfl for providing the two worst games on Thanksgiving ever. absolutely terrible. it should not be mandatory that detroit and dallas play on this day. the only game i think will be good is the cards/eagles and its on the nfl network.

If Dallas and Detroit have to be on at least come up with comparable teams for them to play to keep it close.

I know what you mean, but tradition is tradition.  Detroit has played on Thanksgiving since 1934, and Dallas (for better or worse) draws viewers.

Here's another cop out ... it is what it is.  If you don't like it, then don't watch it.

something needs to be done about this

the lions are terrible and they have no history, why would anybody want to watch them?  heck even people in detroit don't want to watch them

the cowboys are not america's team, pittsburgh fans took over their stadium in 2004 and they haven't won a playoff game since 96

the best matchups the week of thanksgiving should be chosen

why keep a bad tradition going?

bite your tongue boy

why?

roy williams or one of the cowboys said it felt like they were in pittsburgh

they haven't won a playoff game since the 96 season

the cowboys are a media favorite, not a fan favorite

the yankees always greatly outnumber opposing fans in their own stadium, and they play many more home games ;)
