NFL's fault for those matchups. Same garbage for a lot of monday night games dating back decades now. If Detroit and Dallas always have to be on thanksgiving, they should have been playing teams that were similar.

The night game that's not part of the usual schedule was a better choice, competitive for part of it.

nfl is like the nba and mlb...now.  dont even bother watching regular season.  i havent watched one for like 4 yrs.  as old mike ditka said...they just play for their cheques and a roster spot next season for 16 more cheques.

they want $180-$200 for 40 yd line donkey ticket in denver.  not in the life for the bs on the field these days.

the campus atomsphere in the staduims is what makes college ball watchable.

You really think so? I disagree with that. I can't think of anything worse than the NBA these days. The NFL is so hugely popular and they are a serious money machine. It's America's sport, you just won't get the MLB baseball media diehards to endorse the notion that NFL football is America's past-time.

As a Ravens season ticket holder, there's nothing like going to live games. If you truly enjoy the game of football and are not one of these gay little bandwagon-fair weather fans, it is the ultimate experience.

These games were horrible for Thanksgiving, no doubt about that. I think the slate of games were determined based on the performances of last year's teams. Seahawks and Cowboys were division champions from last year at 10-6 and 13-3, respectively. Titans made the playoffs and Detroit started last season 6-2. Arizona and Phili both won at least 8 games last year, I think.

when i was a kid...i went to the 83 Sugar Bowl (Pitt Panthers - Dan Marino) vs (Geo BullDogs - Mr Walker).  I can remember more players from those teams than the NFL.  I played ball from 6th -12th grade...so i'm not anti-pigskin by any means. i have a problem when they are airing 8-1 vs 1-8 teams and selling to the audience it's a good match, selling any team can lose any week in the nfl.  just cant get into the product anymore.  i'll spend my days watching the SEC.

Ya, the NBA is much worse, no comparison.

The performances of last year's teams was probably used to some degree, which is the problem. They're supposed to understand the game well enough to know the character of various teams including the fact that Seattle has never been a compelling team even when winning and had lost their top RB, so chosing them was iffy. The Titans were clearly moving up, Detroit wasn't so that wasn't a good guess as to a matchup. The nightgame matchup was decent, and it was a competitive game for part of it.
