everyone just went the gym and did the heaviest weights they could reasonably do? Nowadays we have these personal trainers trying to make it out like they have the exact scientific formula for getting big and that if you just do the old fashioned way (actually putting some effort into it yourself) then you will end up with less gains.
Are these guys just trying to create a market for something useless because they couldn't handle the real job market or am i wrong here?

because everybody is worried that they will wake up one day and look like arnold

the trainers at the bally's i train at count jumping jacks, watch them do situps on the ball and seated cable curls

I dont mind it though- cuz if everyone knew what we do,  more people wd have good physiques-  take pride in the fact that there arent many, so let them think what they are doing is productive

most personal trainers dont know where they talk about. at our gym the only one who is worth listening to is the owner.

At my gym, the owner is just another fat guy, who's out for money. I doubt he EVER worked out.

Yep. Stupid beliefs. However, the women are the worst. But yeah, I laugh at the clowns who refuse to train hard cause, "they don't wanna get too big". As if it were that easy..... ::)

They are not alone though - I know a few guys who are about 5'7" and weigh 130 lb that say the exact same thing :-\

Well, they need jobs. So they latch onto any Mickey Mouse shit they can in order to portray an illusion of progress.

The smart people are the one's doing the big compound movements, doing only one set heavily to failure, and not doing that very often. Those are the ones that won't look the same next year.  ;)

Thats the funniest shit I have EVER heard! "Trainers know the pefect formulad for getting huge"?. I never seen a f_a_g_g_o_t ass personal trainer bigger than 170 pounds. Their all cardio freaks and more worried about playing with the big ass beach balls in the gym and thinkin they can get pussy. Cant get pussy when your only pullin in 30 grand a year and sportin a Daewoo Lagonza. They are funny to watch though. Their worse than guys with lat syndrome.

most trainers are so insecure the worst thing that could happen to them is to actually make their clients get bigger than them. I like it how some of em who at least have some muscles (VERY FEW of course) teach the most useles and unefective exercises to complete newbies while everyone in the know know that they re are training with weights themselves.
Talk about being an asshole with 0 ethic.


on a side note, most newbies are complete retards...i cant even remember how many times skinny fat guys or girls started their first workout saying "i dont want to get too muscular"... ::)

you really know you're going to waste one hour  of your life with them, so when you're at it, at least let's enjoy it and make em do the most stupid crap you can imagine while trying your best not to laugh at them. Some clients are really asking for it. And it's funny to ridicule em in front of the whole gym crowd.
