well, arvilla, spermastase , robert ziruolo, MemberX, daddywaddy, dave mirza and so many others, spent months on here living in a fantasyworld thinking they were the shit because one or two posters happened to tell em that they looked good in a picture they posted striving for attention.

Then they all became addicted to it as i guess it helped em feel better about themselves and the troubles they might have been  coping with in theri real lifes.

But all came to realize in the end that it didnt make em truly happier, and the irony of this is that the more they thought they were worshiped by internet strangers the more they started to realize that 1 nobody truly gave a shit about them 2 their real life didnt improve much .

All in all attention whoring and e-bragging is a huge waste of time and a lie. It ain't going to make you feel better about your REAL life. If you can't be happy with your life, bragging about it (and most of the time, subtly lying about it) on the internet aint going to change much.

I don't think anyone thinks they're worshipped here....that's a bit of a stretch.

You know when I read random posts like this from the rather inconspicious, wall-flower type posters I immediately think, "they're fed up and wanna make a mark on Getbig.  No one's paying them any attention right now and they're tired of it."   If that's the case, take a tip from those you listed that obviously aggravate you....post a pic of yourself as they did and let the chips fall where they may.  I promise, within a month you'll either quite Getbig or be widely known and may even gather a bit of a following.

Let's see...

  • 20-25hrs a week spent in the gym/cardio/driving to that 'gym'
  • countless hours cooking shit (I don't get this one)
  • Devoted posting on getbig
  • Getting eyebrows done to look good when attending local shows
  • ~200$/month on "supplements"
  • ~300-500$/month on drugs
  • ~100$/month on Otomix and other senseless 'bodybuilding' clothing (oh brother)
  • 200-300$ spend on "gurus" of all kinds

Another way to use all this free time and resources:

Get an MBA (5-10hrs a week part time!)
Work on a business plan, Develop a new product
Put extra time at work, get ahead and get promoted
Research and Invest (real estate, stock market...)
Tutor your kids or mentor one through big brother program
Teach at your local community college
Buy a camera and schmoe every other weekend of the year at bb shows and get paid doing it...

The list is endless...

I spend 5 hours per week on cardio & 4 hours on weight training

Where the hell do you get 20-25 hours?

It takes me 2 hours to cook all my food for the week.

Bodybuilders are either very ineffecient or just plain dumb.

MOS right on the money once again.

I can't stopped to be amazed that the haters are allways faceless.

flagadajones + Vandbilderass = spend more time psycho analyzing board behavior than I spend posting. Yet, never posted their faces. Tells you that much.

I concur.  I think you make the board interesting.  I think anybody does when they post their pictures.  If we are all left to assume who is on the other end of the keyboard, well I automatically assume the worst.

exactly...  I don't condone whoring behavior like AXA's little freakfest but at least he has the humility to show his face (leaving us with that horrific image burned in our brains).

Nontheless, I respect him more than any of the faceless silicon warriors on here.... and let's be honest; it's entertaining.

Agreed dude.  You and I both have posted many non bodybuilding photos, and it's entertaining.  I'm totally good with a guy on the other end posting a picture with him in his Hummer.  Hell it makes me fell a little better knowing I'm chatting with someone with a half descent career that can afford a nicer life.
And the AXA guy gave people something to talk about.  That guy gave people days upon days of entertainment.

I've met many getbiggers over the years... and general rule is, the more open personalities on here are the ones who don't take it seriously.

The more hating and secretive they are on here, the more they take themselves seriously.

I'd agree with that.  I've actually tried to meet up with a few people that live in the vicinity, to hit the gym whatever, people always back out. Not like I'm trying to fight or make fun of someone, I just like working out with people that take it serious.

So you've done no hating? You're always putting someone down. Bragging about your wonderful life and putting others down, that's your thing. You don't take this board seriously? Whose the one searching info on members and outing them? Like I said, you blame people for all the things you're guilty of.

The ones who take this board for what it is, just entertainment and bodybuilding gossip, don't put their whole lives on the net for all to see like you do.

I'm not following... so clowning around and sharing happiness is a bad thing? But anonymous bashing is ok?

Agreed. I've been training for 15 years now and it's pretty damn obvious that I'll never become a pro bodybuilder. Hell, I'm 31 years old and I'm set to compete in my very first contest next September - it's taken THAT long to get to an acceptable standard.

But the good thing is that I have a good job, a nice wife and a nice home and those things come first and I would never take them for granted. Bodybuilding just happens to be a hobby that I happen to take very seriously because it is important to me. I couldn't care less if I spend some of my hard earned money on supplements and drugs - it's mine to do what I want with it - at least the bills get paid first.

sounds great BigJ

the fact you think everyone should post a picture of themselves (just because you did it and saw your fat face photoshoped with a cock in your mouth and all) to be allowed to post/answer your "holiness"  ::) proves you take the internets way too seriously.

It's obvious to everyone you re absolutely not clowning but that you really think you're an "important" person on this internet messageboard. You're the one who thinks he 's part of a virtual e-gang of "owning machines".

Again, you're as worthless as all of those you trashed and that i named previously, ironicaly. You are all trying to find a way to feel better about yourselves on the internet cause somehow your real life isnt fullfilling enough. Funny isnt it?

Agree.

Treat it as a hobby, don't let it consume you.

Good luck competing.
