It will never happen, Sorry but it's true. I never thought bodybuilding should be an Olympic sport. I did hope it would be on ESPN like back in the day. ESPN cut it out a while back, I guess since all the Steroid issues in the Mainstream media. Hollywood should however use Bodybuilders in more movies though.

lol, how can BB be an olympic sport, it's just a beauty pageant.

my plan would be as such...

1. create a more interesting stage entrance...sort of like mma and ucf

2. have athletes create strongers characters...add a little bit of wwe

3. posing routines be judgeded more and have a higher prize money

4. only show arnold classics or olympia

5. be able to wear their sponsor in the trunks

where do you leave Steroids ?

A male beauty pageant will never be mainstream, but getting rid of thongs and going back to shorts would help.

This may sound counterintuitive coming from me (and I know many of my gay friends would disagree) but I think there is a time and place for everything.  I’d love to see a muscled man in a thong in my back yard, at the beach, or in my bedroom, but a thong does not belong on the contest stage at what is supposed to be an athletic event.  >:(

What is worse is that  pro BB is not even consider male "Beauty" pageant...and " ugly" dont sell, plus mainstream say is gross.

1.yes
2.yes
3.yes, and ban the gay girating of ass cheeks etc - bodybuilding has a negative mainstream image enough, to add homosexuality overtones as well is very bad.
4. ??? i don't understand, can you explain?
5.no, it could be a distraction from the physiques, although i would not be opposed to robes etc having sponsors, on the way to the stage (like the wwe enterance theme you spoke of)

4. Only show the arnold classic and the olympia....DO NOT SHOW 2ND tier shows...i remember watching alot of bodybuilding on espn bak in da day and i soley remember that 1 of the reasons i would change the channel was that i saw bunch of bad bodybuidlers...like ugly looking mofos flexing ..looking like the aliens on independence day....keep only the top talent televised...this will actually create a trickle down effect and create more competition now not only to win, but to win a chance to be on tv...

5. i dont think it will.....look at nascar, powerlifting, ect...all their sponsors on their clothes...what it will create is a marketing and advertising catapult...since all the attention is put on the athlete, this creates an opportunity for marketers and their companies......more athletes will get paid, more sponsors will come in, ..shit u might have someone pay u a mill just to wear their company at the day of the olympia....this and tv is the only way to go...

if the show in entrataining, it will leave their mind off steorids

this is what i mean

UCF...known for blood and guts..and alot of roids.what the company has done to keep people and the media attention off that
added ring girls, added better entrances, made the athletes house hold names, help the commonuty (when was the last time u saw a bodybuilder offer their HGH money to starving chilndren..never)

Powerlifting...u cant possibly do any of that stuff without madd dbol, sus, and deca
added annoucing, ect

Pumping Iron, but a weekly show. Or something along the lines of the show "The Contender" but for bodybuilding..I think that would be cool!

Pumping Iron was the worst advertisement for bodybuilding ever.  Why it's so celebrated is baffling.

yea thats a good idea...but only show top talent...this will create a trickle down effect of more competition....

I think muscle tech should be the first 1 to do something big....Muscletech by far has the most sophisticated marketing system by far...they are an extremly good company and know how to sell themselves..

I remember back in the day, Ben Weider wanted the IOC to recognize Bodybuilding as an Olympic sport. Never came to fruition...

It's real simple boys...bodybuilding will NEVER appeal to the mainstream, because it's NOT mainstream.

with all due respect chick, if you feel like that you should not be the athletes rep, nor the spokesperson for bb.com, or the mc at the olympia.

It's called being realistic, and not making it into something it's not...

My efforts have been to make it more appealing to those IN our industry...not to try and force it down people's throats that have no interest anyway...
