No, you're dead wrong.  It's executive mismanagement and executive compensation that is making the problem worse.

It's not that simple though b/c even my reduction of the matter isn't entirely correct but it's more right than your conclusion.

These companies are losing billions a month.  The executives are not paid that much, despite your fantasies otherwise.

These companies are saddled with uncompetitive labor and legacy costs that make all but SUVS and big trucks profitable.

GM cant make money selling $15k dollar cars.  They need to sell the big trucks to make money.
