cheap and effective pre and post workout carb drink?
« on: December 05, 2008, 07:58:28 AM »
hey everyone! kind of tight with the budget right now, so instead of the usual vitargo / waxy maize carb products, is there anything that is alot cheaper that has enough fast acting carbs/sugars post workout that i can drink?

gatorade? crystal light? not sure if these would do, plus don't they have aspartame! bad news supposedly?!

any advice will be appreciated!

you can buy the gatorade or powerade powder to save $.. right now i'm using cytomax by cystosport.. pretty cheap and taste good... the dextrose idea is the best if you're really looking to cut cost.. if u don't feel like ordering online u can look at a near bakery

Or at a brewing/wine making supply store in bulk.
The NOW brand should be readily available at a health food store too.
