what is going on w/ my laptop??? please help!

so i notice if i turn on my laptop and after a few minutes of it sitting at the desktop i open up internet explorer and go on the web to websites...but then i notice after like 4-5 mins i get a message saying internet proxy service has a problem and needs to close...then i cant get backonline and i have to restart my laptop!

but now i notice to go on internet w/out any issues i need to let my screen saver come up...and thats after like 10 minutes!!! so i have to sit there and stare at my laptop waiting for screensaver to come up!

whats going on??!!!

what is a proxy service? how do i stop it? and how come if i let my screensaver come up it doesnt happen?

doesnt sound like a proxy "service" installed. i think nw83 is lying, plain and simple.

if not, tools -> internet options -> connections: check "never dial a connection" and click @ lan config tab and make sure everything is unchecked.

I still think its a lie because theres no bug that involves your so called proxy service problem and screensaver.

next time it comes up ill get a screenshot
from what i remember  a window pops up and it says there is problem with the internet proxy service and windows needs to close...and it offers me the option of sending an error report...then if i try to go backonline i cant

with the screensaver  thing im saying that i have to wait until it comes up, then i can go online w/ no issues...so i just let my desktop sit there w/out touching any keys
but if i turn on my laptop and it goes to desktop and i only wait like 3 minutes and i then go online then after like 5 mins the proxy thing happens..

When this error happens the internet stops working until i reboot.

in my original post i described my issue i was having...but by letting my computer sit it dont happen! so it didnt happen tonight! i was wondering why if i let my laptop sit the issue dont happen...
