Heck yes! The Wire actually got me interested in T.V. again. What were your favorite seasons?

I liked three and four.

I would rank it this way

1. SE 3
2. SE 4
3. SE 1
4. SE 2
5. SE 5

Still, all five seasons beat anything else made for tv.

yeah, that is exactly how I would rank it. I straight shit a brick when they killed of stringer in season three!

You may find it slow. The things that make The Wire slow is what make it so good.

just bought seasons 1-4 and watched the first episode. looks promising.

i just finished watching the shield 1-5 and that was great. gonna be hard to follow up that show.

The Wire is definately not something you can just pick up in the middle and fully appreciate. It really takes a commitment. You don't see that with many shows.

Over the holidays I re-watched season 2, somehow I've come to appreciate it. I would still rank season 5 as the worst of the 5 seasons.

Season 2 has some good depth even with the annoying Ziggy.

It is. Small details often lead to major plot developments. It's best if you are able to pause it if you have to get up.

I've seen seven episodes. This series is very good.

The Sopranos is still numero uno for me though.

you haven't seen nothing yet.I believe the wire is Superior in every way.more realistic,covers more real life issues.
