Once saw a MASSIVE collection of Garden Gnomes when driving through New Hampshire. Over a hundred of these things in the front yard, all carefully set out in little groups as if they had their own little social scenes going on. I had to pull over and have a closer look. When you got up close to them, you could see all the paint was running so they actually looked quite sad but also kind of spooky like the Joker in Batman. I didn't linger long though, since it occurred to me that whoever set these things out like that was probably going to come running out of the house at any moment, buck naked and screaming and wielding a meat cleaver or something.
