Why do you think so?

I'm glad you asked.

Stallone might not have been up on a stage wearing nothing but a thong, but that doesn't make him any less of a bodybuilder. Being in his 60's he's spent more than half of his life building his body and is in better shape than most, one has to remember that Stallone never was genetically gifted for bodybuilding... he never spent all day lifting and eating... he had a fantastic movie career, yet he was able to build up his tremendeous physique!

He didn't start bodybuilding seriously until he was well into his 30's.

He was in shape for months and months on movie sets... compare that with a bodybuilder who just peak a few times a year!

Imagine the hectic schedule of Stallone? And still he's able to keep in that awesome shape!! That's mindblowing!!

All boxers have skinny legs, it's so they can stay in the lower weight classes. He had to look realistic in his movies. I think he is more of a bodybuilder than the pansies who prance around on stage.

I have always been a fan of Stallone.  I can only hope to look that good in my 60's.

Remember that opening stick fighting scene in Rambo when he turns around after tying the head band on.
I was like "crap!" He was 42 years old in the scene. Other than Arnold, I don't think any major movie star ever achieved that level of development and conditioning. Not Lungren or Carl Weathers. Not that homo Van Damme. Not even the great Bruce Lee, though supremely conditioned, lacked substantial development.

Well it depends on how you define it

Should we judge the final product or the road getting there

If someone is so genetically gifted that he's almost a complete bodybuilder even at an early age of say 15 or 17 what is there to respect ?

U think Arnie feels a lil tinge of jealousy when he sees the shape of Stallone or is he beyond that now?

Rocky was the one of the greatest sports movies of all time. (When he actually looked like a heavy)

Rocky 2 was decent.

Rocky 3 thru 6, absolute garbage.
