1997 Mr.Olympia Pre-Judging And Posedown: No Contest: Dorian Crushes Everyone

  Here is the pre-judging and posedown of the 97' Olympia. As you can see, Dorian crushes all the other guys in terms of thickness and density, and even though his conditioning was off by his standards, he wtill drier than most guys there. The distended midsection and torn triceps is barely visible, and Dorian holds his own againt Nasser in most front poses except the front relaxed and crushes him at everything else.

I honestly see either Shawn Ray, or Kevin Levrone as the winner there. Dillet disappeared from the side and did NOT know how to pose his back. Nasser looked flat. Dorian only had a back that year and Lee Priest was too small.

Again, I would put Ray at #1 and Levrone at #2, or the other way around. 3rd would be Dorian and 4th Nasser.

  The problem with your opinion is that fans like you focus on what you like and ignore everything else. Dorian was deemed the winner because the pros of his physique oweighted the cons more than the pros of the other competitors outweighted their cons. Nasser was much worse than Dorian from the back than Dorian's waist was thicker than Nasser's from the front, and his conditioning and density were inferior to Dorian's. Shawn Ray was too short and small and lacked overral pectoral, quadriceps and back thickness to compete with the big guys, although his conditioning as usal was excellent. Levrone was off in conditioning and he was significantly smaller than Dorian, although I agree with you that he was the most complete guy besides Dorian. Dillet is too thin in the torso for a guy of his height and his back is pathethic. The guy made his fame by having a tiny waist and huge arms and nothing more.
