It was a missed opportunity for Kevin. Had he dedicated himself throughout the year to come in closer to his best, he would not have left any room for the judges to not give him the title. With Ronnie being as off as he was, it was a title for the taking. I'm not suggesting that Kevin still should not have won, but being as close as it was, Ronnie got the nod. The other missed opportunity would be in Jay having chosen to not compete that year. If Jay were to have shown up remotely close to how he looked the year prior, he would have wiped the floor with Ronnie.
