It was a missed opportunity for Kevin. Had he dedicated himself throughout the year to come in closer to his best, he would not have left any room for the judges to not give him the title. With Ronnie being as off as he was, it was a title for the taking. I'm not suggesting that Kevin still should not have won, but being as close as it was, Ronnie got the nod. The other missed opportunity would be in Jay having chosen to not compete that year. If Jay were to have shown up remotely close to how he looked the year prior, he would have wiped the floor with Ronnie.

In 2002,if Kevin brought his lower body ready, he could get the title.
But, his legs are too tiny to compare with those of Ronnie.

Kevin's legs were sub par for sure, but Ronnie was very out of proportion himself. His arms were VERY downsized and flat, showing an obvious imbalance between his right and left. His calves were also their usual deficient selves.

kevins lower body was terrible and his back was weak. ronnie was in better shape in the lower body and won the back poses. You could make a case for the side chest and def the front lat spread.

Ronnie was way off though, but so was kevin.
