Coreball BEAST Spotting!!!
« on: December 15, 2008, 03:11:20 PM »
A buddy of mine spotting this coreball beast and got a nice shot.  As you can see, he is actually balancing on the core ball, which is lying on a bench press.
If anyone else has cutting edge ideas for core ball work, please post them.  I feel like I'm stagnant at 220lbs and want some new cool exercises. ::)

That is hilarious. How about some wrist curls on TWO coreballs on top of each other? That would be a workout.

I saw some guy curling 5kg dumbells to failure while kneeling on a swiss ball. He threw the dumbells when he was finished as well. So annoying

Croatch I thought you feel in love with Zeb Atlas, you haven't posted in a long time.  Maybe it was just a steam room fling for Zeb and he cut you off.

No, I've been teaching a coreball toning class 4 nights a week.  There's not as much time for getbig now.

Haha got to love those 130 lb Personal Trainers who can talk for 2 hours straight about the benefits of training your core with that ball, but can't bench 225 for 1 rep even if you put a gun to their head, lol

Why do they do it?  I'd love to go and pop one of those balls while some dude's benching on it, struggling on his 3rd rep with 65lbs.

Do as I say, not as I do...haha
I once had this trainer ask me where to get gear, I replied, "Sorry bro, I don't take anything."
The fact I was 60lbs heavier than him and with the same bodyfat, put him in the state of shock.  I guess ACSM doesn't teach you how to gain 70lbs of mass without drugs or kettle balls....hahah

There are a half dozen good exercises that can be done with a stability ball, pretty much everything else is bullshit.  In fairness, though, even the guys at WSBB use them for restoration and stuff like DB presses and hamstring work.

But that guy and the 135lb swiss ball squatter should make an instructional video together.

I don't think it does, he is disobeying the rules and should be reported.  He works out at Zeb Atlas's gym, I think it is Golds, we can email this and provide proof so he is kicked out.

How much core work does a person need?  Seriously...unless you're a gymnast or an acrobat, how much core work do you need to do?

Do you train lower back? If so how often?
