Newt? He used to run congress, is one of the smartest men in all of DC, and had the balls to say the whole lot of Republican contenders in 2008 was weak.

Jeb?  By far the most qualified and shrewd, but he is a PNAC author, and he does have the 'Bush' name.  Still, people forget.

Mitt?  If we're all still in a world of financial hurt after 4 years of depression/recession in 2011, ait's likely a golden boy like Mitt Romney would get some love with his economic prowess.

Palin?  60% of voters felt she was not ready for the VP role, much less President.  And 18% of registered repubs who voted in 2004 chose to stay home in 2008.  Energize the base?  Hard to claim that when 1/5 of your previous voters stayed home and let Obama win.

Mitt is a good ole fashion Republican.

Mitt is what this Country needs right now. ;)

I would love to see Ron Paul in the mix again, but he'll be close to 77 years old by then.  I can't imagine having the energy to run a presidential campaign at that age.

At this point Romney, though someone else will more than likely come to the forefront.

Ron Paul stayed well the fuck away from the McCain/Palin fiasco before it even started cause he new they were useless and refused to support them.

At this point you'd think people wouldn't support Romney just for the simple fact that he shared many of McCain's views and totally supported the man, we all see how well that turned out, the whole party is in a shambles. If Romney couldnt even grow the balls or have the brains to distance himself from those two morons, how could he make for a good Republican presidental candidate?

Yeah, Ron Paul!!!

In all reality, I think Romney would be a good bet... perhaps Jindhal or one of the other young governors.
Palin will not get the nomination even though she has some loyal fans within the party.

jindal has said he's not interested in 2012, and I tend to believe him.

jindal will be barely 40, and if Obama's doing a halfway decent job, he'll probably win re-election.

If it's all about the long-term, he'll hold off until 2016 when Obama fatigue has set in and the nation is ready for a change.

By 2016 we will be a third world country.

The Mormons have been campaigning for him since 2002.

And that PR campaign will continue.

I hope Obama has a successful presidency - that'll be the only way to keep Salt Lake City's influence out of the White House for another 4 years.

In this time of crisis Romney would have been best choice to run the country, not Mc Cain or obama
They have no financial qualifications or a business smarts. The way obama talked about change is he was going to fix it all overnight and you people believed it, well sorry it's not going to happen, ah ah ah.
He uses that word alot when he gets lost in a sentence or he dosen't really know the answer. Did you notice alot of the people he picked for his cabnet are all from his home state and city, you know the corupted city of Chicago. As Jeff Beck said were Going Down, down down down down down, Rock On.

Mitt would have won if he had been there instead of Mccain because the economic crisis would have hit at the perfect time.
People perceive Mitt to be safe and know what he's doing economically. He has an image of trust. That being said...

Plus he would't have picked Palin for VP. at first i thought it was a good move on Mc Cain's part, but it ruined
his chances of beng elected in the long run. He should have picked Mitt R. for VP, he would have had a better chance IMO.
But the country said lets pick a black man to win and show the world how we changed in the good ole USA.
We had to put the man of change in because look what Bush did, that was their only defense and most people feed into that, plus the media pushed it. It was like look at me the White man i'm going to back a black man no matter what he stands for or who he has relationships with, we don't care. Stupid Stupid Stupid, even if obama was WHITE i would not have voted for him because i'm not buying into his moto of change. It was a good sales pitch and that's what people wanted to hear bottom line. Half the people did't know a thing about him. Tell the truth now you did't.
