Protein Powder Price Increase
« on: December 17, 2008, 05:06:50 PM »
Its just started happening here in Canada and it is elsewhere I imagine.  Apparently after many animals got sick we have decided along with the US to no longer purchase food from China and are requiring bulk supplies of good quality protien for animal foods along with other new needs worldwide (too many to mention here).   As the demand has gone up so has the price.  My normal 5 lbs pail of ON 100% whey has already gone up 8 bucks and a guy I know who owns the supplement store I buy it at said the new year will bring price increases of 10 to 15 bucks on a 5 lbs pail.  Is this for real or do all the supplement companies get together to make up some bullshit stories to create a new price which can be justified.  Damn prices keep going up....

Yo BENZ like I have posted before I am a lifetime natural....the most intense stuff I have ever used was a cycle of Animal Test for 21 days and it was great other than that I would never touch the shit...from what I have learned in school  in Psych it scares me through its possible mental effects on the brain, scary stuff to say the least....That is my most important muscle and Im not willing to risk it over extra muscle mass...

do the same thing anyone does when the price of something gets too high, stop buying it and the price will come down, lees demand=lower prices, just eat regular food until it comes down.

That kind of thinking is too sensible in today's society

Save your money. :)
ON is really low grade stuff. :-X
You would need the stomach lining of Bangkok ladyboy to get any protein out of it.
Stick to eggs and lots of em. ;D
Hope this helps.

could be a blessing in disguise.

ON is pretty shitty protein. back in the day i used to use it, thinking i was saving money over the more expensive isolate. turns out i wasn't saving all that much when you consider the type of the protein and the % per serving. you're better off with a good isolate like all max, or iso- sensation.

mine is going up too. i am paying right now $65 for a 5 pound jug of all max isoflex. that is going to up $75 in the new year.

i would order from TP, but with the exchange and shipping i don't think it would be feasible.
