- zorn is fired by washington.  He gets another shot with another draft class.

- mcnabb requests a trade.  Doubt it happens

- cassel is signed by tampa bay.  Could be.  I think the Lions, Chicago, the niners, the vikes or the jets are more likely.

- cower comes out of retirement. To coach the Jets or Dallas.

- lauron is canned by buffalo. Yes, and picked up by anyone with a brain.  Dick Jauron is a good coach, who had a few highly publicised gaffs.  Those gaffs paint in inaccurate picture to those who don't see the positive changes he made to a putrid Bills team.

- singletary is signed long term by the 49'ers.  Yes.

- favre retires (again)  Hopefully

The pats find a way to sign and deal Cassel.  Cassel continues to be a very good NFL QB.

Brady comes back and has a big time season.

The phins contend for the east again, while the Jets take three steps back.

Mangini is done if the Jets don't make the playoffs.

Scott Pioli is heavily persued by many teams in the NFL, only to stay in NE.

Josh McDaniel's is given a head coaching job.

No matter which coaches are hired to replace the departed, every broadcast team will waste ten minutes' worth of the show bitching about there not being "enough" black head coaches.

The bears will not sign a new QB, you will see ORton get signed to a 5 year deal! We got a gun slinger in that kid, now he just needs to get a couple more WR's. Mark the words Orton gets a long term deal.

Judging by Ortons total meltdown in a very important game tonight I woulden't be so sure of that.  He has throw two int's already, and has not been able to move his team over 5 plays on O.  A guy who deserves a 5 year contract helps his team win the big games, imo.  He wont get five years, imo.

Maybe not five, even though I could see it happening. The Bears are not very smart with personal descions. Look at the Jones release and not picking up a good QB in the draft in how long? Shortest contract I see him getting is 3 years. JMO.

As a bears fan you really don't see a QB in that city.. The last time we had a decent one was 85?.?.?.? Orton is the best thing that city has seen in forever. Sure he is not a manning or a big ben, or even a matt ryan (so Far), but I think that the kid has some potential. I have been wanting to see him get the starting job since he was drafted. I hate Grossman and hope they fucking cut his ass this year.

You make a good point, but I don't see the Bears investing anything into Orton long term.  Think about it, the Bears hold all the cards.  There is no demand for Orton around the NFL.  If I were the bears I would go after Matt Cassel with everything I had.  Look at his numbers after 15 games.  Keep in mind that the pats have one of the HIGHEST sack totals in the NFL, so the line is not covering up for him this year. Yes Cassel has Moss and Welker, but Ryan has guys like Roddy White and Mike Turner (plus their line has played better).  I truly believe this kid is going to be a very good NFL QB regardless of where he plays.  I think he is just as good as Ryan.

The bears need to land some Cb's in my opinion and also some WR's. For fuck sakes we has a guy going both sides this year and we lost our KR/PR because of our shallowness at WR..
