I was about 7 or 8 my dad Bobby Heenan and Kerry were all talking backstage at a WWF house show and out of no where Kerry said   " ya I think I'm gonna take my wife to see that movie" and walked away.   They were talking about the Dallas Cowboys ha ha.

who's your dad man?

Dat's the guy. He looks quite the retard but he is actually well educated, getting a masters degree before college became a diploma mill.

He's 71 and still kicking

::)   my favorite part of the shows were:
the promotional interviews.
The Grand Wizard and The fat guy with the undertaker were my favorites.
and most particularly the early days of the WWF when the midgets got married.  that was one of my favorite shows.  the wrestling i didnt care too much for.

Peaking at 45 !!!

Great thread !!!   :)    One of the funniest things I remember is George the Animal Steele setting fire to the hairs on his chest with a bic lighter !!!

Another great moment was Superfly Snuka standing on top of Andre the Giants shoulders and doing his superfly leap from there.

For those who remember, Vince McMahon was one hell of a play by play announcer when he used to do it !!!

Cyclone Negro my old man has nothing but good thing to say about this guy

Ironically, Cyclone Negro was involved in a match that first made me think wrestling wasn't real.  He was taking on Tony Atlas in Roanoke,VA in a "taped fist match"   Cyclone was being managed by The Missouri Mauler at that time (1978 or 1979, Mid Atlantic)...the match went back and forth and at one point, Tony Atlas tried to punch Cyclone, who ducked.  It caught the referee right in the face, and he fell but jumped right back up.  A few minutes later, when both wrestlers were coming out of the ropes, Cyclone and the ref collided - barely shoulder to shoulder contact - and the referee was KTFO...come on!!!  Of course, MM jumped in and he and Cyclone double-teamed Tony until the crowd started chanting "People's Champ" and Tony got all Hulk Hogan-like invinvicble and beat them both out of the ring.  I left the Roanoke Civic Center that night older and wiser.
