Why do steroids get such a bad rap? deaths are a extreme minority in use

I'm not saying steroids are "good" to use, but i cant rationally say they are bad either?

It seems like for every 1 death related to juice - there are 100+ users that are doing just fine health wise.

And with each death you hear about, mainly through to media (such as Benoit, for example), there are always extreme circumstances on each side. Benoit obviously had severe mental illness and/or personality that would allow him to kill kis family.

I forget what episode it was, you can find it on youtube - but there was a professor that claimed:

1-yes steroids do cause balding
2-they cause acne
3-they alter cholesterol levels

They may not cause death in most instances, but putting anything your body that can shut down (or retard) your natural test production for life, and accelerate a slew of health problems is probably not a good idea.

Why do people destroy their bodies with alcohol and tobacco? Just because it's legal doesn't make it right. Alcohol alone causes more problems in society than steroids ever will. I'm not saying they should be legalised but even so we've got to take a long hard look at what we've already got out there wrecking people's lives already without jumping on the steroid bandwagon too.
