I found them better than regular squats in terms of development, ease on the knees and safety, using a 2" block for the heels. Keep the bench fairly low.

best thing you can do for squatting strength, and "power" for athletes. also, that trainer should shoot himself. That kids form is TERRIBLE. :-X
