UFC 92: “The Ultimate 2008” from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, has come to a close.
The highly anticipated main event between “Sugar” Rashad Evans and Forrest Griffin earned “Fight of the Night” for the action-packed battle that was fairly even until Evans dropped Griffin in the opening seconds of round three and finished him off with some ferocious ground and pound.
While Wanderlei Silva was an early favorite for knockout of the night (at least in his mind), that honor went to former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson. “Rampage” scored his revenge - along with some cold, hard cash for his devastating KO of his former PRIDE nemesis.
“The Ultimate 2008″ ended without a submission so no bonus was awarded in that category.
Overall, it was an exciting card with only two of the ten bouts going the distance. The fighters honored below definitely deserved a little extra cash for their outstanding performances.
Here are the special fight bonuses for UFC 92:

Knockout of the Night — Quinton “Rampage” Jackson
Submission of the Night – N/A
Fight of the Night — Rashad Evans vs. Forrest Griffin

Each fighter received $60,000 for their efforts in addition to their respective base salaries, which is not too shabby considering the shaky economy … the promotion is apparently not holding back on the generosity.

mir gets peanuts and looks awesome and nog gets a quarter of a million dollars for being a punchin bag, mirs paycheck better climb or hes gettin suckered bigtime.the guy just beat brock and now nog and i think everyone would agree he should get at least 150,000$ to fight and and a nice 50,000$ win bonus.nog and wandy got paid big cause they put asses in the seats, after saturday night i dont think thier stock is gonna be as high but who knows with the ufc.id also like to see the undercard fighters get alittle more coin, the ufc could swing it with ease with all the coin zuffa rakes in from ppv,s,tix, and other things
