Good post. Victor Frankl wrote something that = somewhat related to this in "Man's search for meaning", about how he and others after being in a concentration camp for a while did not get emotionally affected by seeing dead bodies, 12 year olds getting killed and things like that.

Debussey killed a rather large human-friendly animal this year due to an accidental collision. Debussey did not feel a single bad emotion about it. That = somewhat weird

I ran over an absolutely gigantic Rabbit.  I felt kind of bad for a couple miles.

Very good friend of mine was released from the US Army for shooting a young Iraqi kid. The kid wouldn't stop walking up on my buddy and a injured soldier. My buddy was a medic. Anyways the guy he was caring for said my buddy shot the kid in cold blood. My buddy got discharged from the Army. Kind of FUCKED up, but shit happens.

Have another friend who shot two guys outside of his house 3 years ago in Vegas. Got away with self defense, one dude died and the other went back to the Pin for charges related to the shooting. He doesn't seem to be affected from the shooting?.?.?

Beat people up in fights or out of anger, killed some animals but never killed anybody.

I always found a romantic idea to the ideal of killing someone and being totally indifferent but my rage has never spilled over to that point.

i once killed a dog when it was pouring rain cause i didn't see the poor doggie, and i hit a dog once cause it ran in front of my car trying to commit suicide. poor doggie didn't have a chance! i am a murderer! i ran over a cat once too...(same scenario...it ran in front of my car trying to commit suicide!) poor kitty cat!
